31.69 mi on Colnago CLX 3.0. [Cycling] Home from Sydney and managed to sneak in a ride down the FLT, did the Pelican Loop and incorporated Redhead Road on the return trip to break it up a bit. Not much to report, kids and crazy bunters everywhere on the FLT. I saw one guy walking his black Labrador near the Jewels crossing which stopped on the track to lay a massive land mine. The guy started to walk off without any indication he intended to clean up Fido’s mess, so I dropped a cluster bomb of well chosen words encouraging him to do the right thing, but he just stared at me as if to say “what’s eating Buddy?” I also sat on the wheel of a lycra clad femme fatale for a little while, only to see her gracefully pull to the side of the track a fire a double barrel nose shotgun. Suddenly I was not longer interested in what was in front of me – I needed clear air. |
