Right knee is a bit tight/sore so I took my time and kept a higher cadence. Nothing special on the ride to downtown, but saw a lot of bicycle riders on Main street so I rang my bell, but I rolled on to work.
102.20 mi in 09:55:43 hours at 10.29 mi/h on Specialized SX Trail. [Cycling] 12 Hours of Stanky Creek Mountain bike race. I entered solo sport and had a blast. First lap was a slower pace, but hooked up with Shaun and Mark from Wood N Wave and we did wheelies most of the first second and third lap. The second lap Bill Wrights crank almost fell off so I stopped to help him and then caught back up to the Wood N Wave guys. I stopped at lap 3 and lubed the chain and took off for 4, stopped every lap except 7-8 and 10-11. I helped Cris C up from a fall, he look like he caught a pedal on a stump on the side of the trail and fell really hard, but he was ok to ride the lap out. Looked back because I thought I saw a rider, and looked up and hit a tree, saw a ripper clan rider fly by super fast and silent. Hit about 5 trees total, mostly just grazing them but a couple shoulder checks and then dead on when I looked back. Fast trail conditions, everything was turning into a sandy silty mess by the end, but at the bottom of the drop I was still hitting low 20's with a nice 2 wheel drift through that corner. I rode one lap with the headlights, but didn't turn them on. The next lap I went insane, and ran out of water, and was riding super slow. I stopped with 11 laps with over an hour left, I physically and mentally didn't have anymore for the day.

Cool this morning 59F by the time I got to work. Left a little earlier and encountered more drivers that would not give me room, or were in too much of a hurry. First driver was on Lafayette she would have hit me or buzzed within inches, but luckily I saw her ( I was 1 foot from the curb, actually riding in the gutter part of the street) so I put my left arm out so she would go farther around, she did, but looked back (on her cell phone) and gave me a look like I was in the wrong.
Saw Jason on Harbert this morning.
Got down to FedEx forum on Linden, and turned right (luckily) as I got turned into! The car hurried up and got next to me and turned from the far lane right into the close lane, this gave me about 2 feet to make my turn, as I stared at the passenger that realized the driver was an idiot. If I was going straight I would have been hit.
That's about it, I need to get in earlier or later to miss the people that are in a rush.
