Straight away you could feel the Southerly winds as got blown up Silverhills , you never get blown up there. Good riding conditions , enjoyed it . Cut short a little as had to get some paint from Homebase , hate going along there on weekends , full of people with nothing better to do than trawl round shops . in and out done . |

72.20 mi in 05:45:00 hours at 12.56 mi/h on CARRERA KRAKENSTEIN. [Cycling] 6.30 start , very cold , ice on puddle and lakes and ponds en route were frozen over . Sun was soon out and warming the ground and me up , still stayed cold trhoughout the ride though . Little to no wind made every direction a joy to ride . Was on course of the cycle race around Derwent , the roads weren't closed but there was a high police bike presence shutting road junctions as the group went round , loads of event officials on motorbikes too . At junctions there were photographers , they didn't mistake me for a racer though , in fact the racer type spectators seem to hate mountain bikers too as a friendly smile and nod form me to them resulted in a a blank dismissal turn away sort of look . class. they can keep their lycra clad tight knit activities to themselves , see if we care . Probably did twice as many miles that day as them anyway , on 2.3 nobblies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-) |

It was really low and cast a shadow on the track , class. |
