Had a hard time getting the power intervals into the 170s because my legs just weren't there.
On the threshold intervals I really did my best when I laid out the power and mashed a bigger gear. I have a lot more power than a I think I do and need to get used to reaching into it.
9.00 mi in 00:45:00 hours at 12.00 mi/h on Comotion Espresso. [Cycling] Easy ride into work. Try to keep telling myself to take it easy, and I did... until about Grand and Pico and I had to sprint to take on one of those huge buses. It was a nice sprint, though.
9.00 mi in 00:45:00 hours at 12.00 mi/h on Comotion Espresso. [Cycling] First commute since the crash.
Weather was overcast, perfect for a ride to work. My boss at work said my calves looked like champagne bottles... that's a new one.
Shoulder feels a little shaky, probably from three straight days on the road. The commute was fine, I went with out SPD, because my knee has been hurting from the co-motion and I just can't get the bike fit right.
21.70 mi in 01:31:00 hours at 14.31 mi/h. [Cycling] FIRST RIDE OUTSIDE!
First time out since the crash. Shoulder was a little touch in certain positions, but I did some sprints, climbed hard and it held up.
My legs are whipped though, riding the trainer is not the same no matter how hard you go. But I think I have more power than I've ever had. I climbed traveltown in my big ring, pretty easily for about half the hill, unitl I decide to dial it back. Then my heart rate was in the mid 170, even though I wasn't working my hardest.
