[Cycling] Decided to ride the new steed so off to the TOC to find no one there, rode around a few tracks which were amazingly dry just to get a feel for the new bike, went down to MG's house where Di told me that the boys had gone for a road ride on the FLT, rode back up the hill for a few more short runs then down to the NH where MG, Rg and CE turned up. DS the EN arrived to quench our thirst. Can't wait to have a good hit out. |

[Cycling] SuMRR with Evimov and RG, Ev said he wanted to ride some hills so hills it was, out to the Link Rd, Minmi, Stockrington Rd and back, Blackhill Rd to the top of the climb where RG flatted at the bottom, Ev and I waited at the top but the new B grader did not have a pump or any CO2 so I relented and used my old school pump to get RG going again, back along Blackhill Rd, Minmi, Maryland then home along the cycleway to the Fernleigh Cafe for an milkshake and a quick chat to the DS who was off to Ash Is for a family ride. Time to leave but RG had another flat, this time he did not have a tube, pump or C02, I kindly gave him one of my 2 tubes and made RG pump the tyre up, Ev went to do some more K's but I just rolled home. Very warm and humid for this RG Flats day. |

Usual route and the theme for the day was to smash every Strava segment on the route. I did a big lead out up Sandgate hill then CTE led out NJ, all regrouped and Toasted & I stayed at the front out to Hexham and back to Telstra Hill where it was an easy roll. NJ won the Phoenix srpint then Toasted tried in vain to take the Brewery sprint, NJ took the Brewery and the Baths KOM. Good coffee at 2300 then the usual route home via the non existent Figs. Very humid but good to get a ride in. |

[Cycling] First SAMBR for 2012, into Glebe Rd, City Rd then met GN, GD, CE, RG and MP for a great ride through Glenrock, I have not ridden many times in the last 6 months and all of the trails are in great nick with some new ones I have never done before. Back to the Nags Head for a very rare shout from RG with all his winnings from racing, joined by NJ, RB and MG who is impersonating Malcolm Naden. Great day out. |
