20.19 mi in 01:31:00 hours at 13.32 mi/h on Orbea Opal. [Cycling] Started doing a catalyst workout for intervals but the setup I did was too hard so I crashed and burned half way through. I was so frustrated I packed it in and decided to do the l'Alpe d'Huez TT.
I completed the 13.8 Km TT at 100% values averaging 225 watts and 173 bpm. My time was 1:03:55 and I was completely fried when I finished. The grade varies from 7 to 12% with most of it between 9 to 11% ... brutal!
14.17 mi in 00:38:00 hours at 22.37 mi/h on Orbea Opal. [Cycling] Used the Catalyst component of the Tacx Fortius trainer to do 2 x 12 min intervals @ 320W. Crashed and burned 3 min into the second interval. I must be tired from yesterday as the heart rate was running about 10 bpm higher than normal ... time to do channel surfing intervals instead!
26.47 mi in 01:18:00 hours at 20.36 mi/h on Orbea Opal. [Cycling] Did part of the Argus Tour of South Africa with the values backed down by 20%. Used it as a recovery ride from the Foolish Fours today. Lots of little hills in the video with great views of the ocean.
15.60 mi in 00:48:00 hours at 19.50 mi/h on Orbea Opal. [Cycling] December Foolish Fours. Finished 30 seconds at 420 watts so I was very happy with my recovery progress. Still not happy about my weight but that will come in time. Great to see everybody again ... but where is my buddy bobbi?
30.51 mi in 02:14:00 hours at 13.66 mi/h on Orbea Opal. [Cycling] Fortius ride of the Gross Glockner in Austria at full values. Hard climbing often in the range of 11-14%. A excellent low cadence power workout.
