Felt pretty good...took it easy, spinning as much as I could. Was totally toasty...but could feel the coldness in the shade.

Cold, but a nice tailwind. Grabbed something off the road that clicked against my fenders for the last couple of miles. Never found out what it was, but my tire flatted right after I rolled it into the classroom.
26.00 mi in 01:50:00 hours at 14.18 mi/h on Jamis Chevy Nova. [Cycling] It's not always a good sign when a co-worker (and fellow commuter) asks me if I'm riding home, then shakes his head. This usually means that I'll have a headwind...a unavoidable result of being a north-south commuter. Still, it didn't really bother me much since I still have a good amount of miles on my legs. Nice ride in for the a.m. Stopped to chat with Wilson...a treat since we usually have "2-second conversations" because we are so locked into our commute. Yeah! December riding!

[Cycling] If you told me 30 years ago, when I was just in the beginning of my job search, that on a frigid, 27 degree December morning, at the age of 52, I would ride a bicycle to work...and then, in the afternoon, I would ride back home into a stiff south wind, getting stung by ice pellets as twilight approached...I'd have probably said, "Perhaps."

[Cycling] Nice ride with Rich and Richard out toward Underhill on another sunny, and relatively mild (for November) day. Saw Alden at the Richmond Bakery before hand. Rode/climbed well. Snow covered Mt. Mansfield glistened in the late afternoon light.
