[Cycling] After taking Monday off to give this head cold another day to clear up began to feel a little better today...saw on radar there was not going to be a Tuesday night practice race in Florence while the sun was out at work in J'ville so I could ride right after work...did 4 sets 1 mile on 1-1.5 miles off at ~90% max heart rate and finished with a 3 mile interval @ ~85% max...legs felt sluggish...hopefully things will continue to improve as the weekend draws near...

[Cycling] Still fighting a nasty head cold...feel like crap...felt like I had to do a short ride to give my legs some work...did not want to go longer and wear myself out...small group ride in Sandhills around Hartsville...legs felt OK but lungs and throat were on fire during harder efforts...hopefully this thing starts clearing up soon...been looking forward to the state road race in Greenville this weekend...

[Cycling] Woke up Wednesday with a sore throat and nasty old head cold...stayed off the bike last 3 days...got up this morning to try riding with the group...stayed with the lead group when the ride split (~15 miles @ 22.3mph average)...did not sprint at the end...still feeling sick...

[Cycling] Tuesday night practice race...large group (~15) at the start...fairly fast pace throughout...multiple attacks but all were chased down...for some reason I was not recovering well between hard efforts so had to pretty much stay in the paceline...still had ~10 riders together near the finish...patiently waited for the first jump in the sprint then followed that wheel and sprinted past for the "win"...very hard ride tonight...race loop: 16.8 miles @ 25.0 mph
