[Cycling] Rode to the Gang with Guru, managed to get a pinch flat on the front wheel after hitting something hard just before the bridge. Headed back into town then around beaches, up on to The Hill via Watt St, down Memorial, up Scenic Drive, then onto Love Track to Belmont and return. Had a crack at Scum Rises then cruised up R2W. Headed up to John Hunter and Lookout Road then home. It was "Slow walking elderly couple" day on the FT. |

Came back with a tailwind. Went to pub and met up with MG, NJ, the DS and the Pom. Had a couple of quick climbs on the way home to finish off. |

52.88 mi in 02:58:20 hours at 17.79 mi/h on Argon 18 Plutonium. [Cycling] SMRR with RG, MG, Guru and Euro. CI2 was a no-go but did turn up to tell us so. Attacked at Cemetery KOM in search of Strava segment glory and put the pain on the soft pedalling Hadleys Bunch. Sat on for a while and then had a go at an ITT along the Foreshore before coffee at 2300. MG, RG, Guru and Euro took the approved route to the Love Track while I went via KEP and Scenic Drive. Suffered like a dog on the climbs as usual. Did a lap of the Love Track which was quite busy with cyclists today. Passed Euro heading in the opposite direction and got a high 5 from the Colnago-ed One. Also caught up with RG and MG on their way back who waited for me to catch up. Legs trashed so I had half a go at R2W. Cruised back, with the Gallis departing at the Fletcher Street exit. Tough day but lots of Strava PRs. A great ride with great mates! |

6.21 mi on Giant Alias. [Cycling] Evening ride along the bike track from Warners Bay to Speers Point Park and back with about 20 Cub Scouts from the Kotara Group (Yes I am a Cub Leader!!). We had a howling southerly to contend with but the kids went really well. No Strava Segments to speak of. The track is quite narrow in places and lots of pedestrians so probably not the best place for a fast ride! |
