Big Willie Stadium - Minmi - West Wallsend - Barnsley - Rhonda Rd - Teralba - Warners Bay - Belmont - Blacksmiths - Belmont - Love Track - New Lambton. RG was on the slick MTB and smashing out the watts. RG almost squashed a fat corgi at Warners Bay. It was pedestrian mayhem along the Warners Bay bike path - we vowed never to ride along there again. Foggy most of the ride. Some old bloke took RG on on the Love Track who then proceeded to smash him on R2W. Same old bloke kept looking over his shoulder to see if I was catching him - all very odd.

[Cycling] SMRR + Carmen's Birthday Ride with Guru, MG and Toasted - Arrived without arm warmers which was the only good decision I made all ride. Decided to have a crack at the Cemetery KOM and despite nearly imploding only managed to equal, not better, my PR. Then proceeded to suffer like a beaten dog for the rest of the ride, such is the cost of an ego writing cheques that the body can't cash! Saw some trucks doing some stupid tailgating up Telstra Hill. Felt a bit better at Carrington so had a crack at a new sprint segment I created called Cav-alicious and managed to snag 4th place overall on equal time with Carmen! Nice coffee at 2300 then back to the Love Track via the usual route. Quads were absolutely trashed so I grovelled up and down the Love Track. Had a crack at Scum Rises where some muscle bound knucklehead listening to his iPod decided he would step into the middle of the track as I tried to pass him. He didn't hear the expletives but Carmen did (my apologies). Didn't get a PR as there were too many moving obstacles and my quads were totally trashed. Limped up the R2W climb and managed to drop my chain along the top section before Burwood Road. Met up with the crew again below the tunnel exit and then crawled home a beaten man. |
