[Cycling] Met Guru, Cadel, and Eurobunter at the stadium after being smashed by the Kinross maggie 4 times (I'm sure it aims for the cracks in the helmet!) and got abused by a driver from the opposite side of the road just after the Carnley Ave roundabout. Eurobunter exited at Mayfield to get home early and Cadel claimed Phoenix sprint. Guru was a bit infront of the 2 of us along the Brewery sprint, I was just about to attack Cadel when he flatted, we stopped at the Brewery, changed flat and took the short cut to 2300, looked back after roundabout at train station and had lost Ev again. Got to 2300 where Guru was already half finished his coffee and watched Ev walking in with another flat. Changed flat while we had coffee which was yummy as always. Guru left us and after our coffee myself and Ev rode home. Great ride with great company.

Got toasted by a group of roadies with bells on their bikes, but they soon ran out of puff at Whitebridge and needed to stop for drinks, needless to say they never saw me again. Saw skin suit man in fluoro purple and yellow long sleeve jersey and leggings, very bright...Easy leisurely ride before SMRR with my baby.

A guy in a skin suit joined the track at Whitebridge with hairy legs....of course he deserved to get toasted down to Redhead and toasted he was! Didn't see him again until I turned at Belmont to come home. Had another attempt at flying up the climb and managed to crest a bit over 29 into a head wind....feeling pretty good. Fast hard ride on my baby.
15.60 mi in 01:02:47 hours at 14.90 mi/h on Giant Avail Advanced 2. [Cycling] Dropped girls off to school and planned a long hills ride. Off FLT at Whitebridge, flew down Bullsgarden, up Oakdale, down Redhead, up the Bluff where once I hit the top I flatted......sigh. Changed my flat and headed to Jewells when I realised I'd run out of time to go to Belmont and climb up Redhead Rd, so just jumped back onto the Love Track and climbed to Whitebridge. Feel like I have no legs after my short break off the bike but wanted to try and fly up the climb. Started slow but managed to fly up doing about 27-28kph, toasting two male roadies. My hrm was beeping and saying 'vomit' and towards the end changed 2 more gears and as I crested I was doing 35.....yayyy me although I really felt like crap and could barely breathe!!!! Great hard ride with my baby helping me get my form back.
24.20 mi in 01:41:52 hours at 14.25 mi/h on Giant Avail Advanced 2. [Cycling] After heavy rain and lightning like I've never heard before through the night, I woke to what looked like no rain. Met Napalm at stadium and after waiting we decided to head off on our own. About 5 mins into the ride we were joined by GD. Started raining and pretty much hung around for the whole ride, so we decided to cut our ride short. Was very slow and I felt pretty average from lack of riding over the school holidays. I flatted at Mayfield and Napalm changed it for me and got to use my new CO2 thingo. Saddled up and ready to head off when he realised he also had a flat, so he change that and by the end he was looking pretty black. Headed home with no coffee stop. Glad I got out for the ride.
