33.06 mi in 02:04:00 hours at 16.00 mi/h on Opera Leonardo. [Cycling] Ride with a new friend who said she was up for an easy one but for some reason, that meant heading out to Mt Sugarloaf. Brutal but enjoyable. |

Mel was 1st to the top. I was drenched in sweat, gasping for breath & she wasn't. I am a sprinter, not a climber.
We then had an enjoyable picnic: muesli bars & biddon water. |

15.53 mi on Titus Full Tilt Moto. [Cycling] Earlier than usual start with MP. Eventually joined by Col, new mate John &, appropriate for for day, a resurrected Ellviner. The usual circuit, interrupted by stoppages to help someone with a broken chain (no payment offered!) someone who was lost & a dude with a loose seat post. Beer time at the Nags with A1 & excellent service from our favorite bar maid (fetching turquoise blue nail polish) who hates the smell of farts & remembers what we drink. |

53.00 mi in 02:58:00 hours at 17.87 mi/h on Opera Super Leonardo. [Cycling] Easter SMRR with Guru, Napalm, Toasted, Eurobunter, D (glad I'm not one) Kennedy, BMO & Melanie whom some regarded a challenger to a throne that I, being an avowed & ardent republican, don't recognise due to my belief that any head of state should be representative of the people's choice & elected by due democratic process, preferably, a candidate nominated & approved by an elected parliament... but I digress. Phoenix Sprint was just won by a recovered Napalm & the Brewery Sprint was shut down by Guru whose long years in the insurance industry has resulted in him being over cautious in his assessment of risk. Coffee at Raw (not roar) then onto the Velodrome where Nanny Guru once again advised caution which I threw to the wind for some hot laps & a top 10 Strava placing. (top 5 if you ignore the +100km/h efforts) With numbers dwindling due to domestic responsibilities, I was finally Mel & I left for a lap of Love. |

62.76 mi in 03:13:00 hours at 19.51 mi/h on Opera Super Leonardo. [Cycling] A Good Friday "Hadleys Ride" with a good contingent from TDS. Rode up to the Terrace, back roads to Maitland, then down the New England to Beumont St. & coffee where we had to endure the not so appropriate odors of the cloven hoofed animal. |

21.69 mi in 01:09:00 hours at 18.86 mi/h on Opera Leonardo. [Cycling] Evening date with the Love & 1st ride for a while under lights. Late getting away as I had to find all the various lights, mounts & replacement batteries. Great having the Garmin lit up like a proper dashboard & awesome riding a tunnel of glaring luminosity from 900 lumens of lighting power. I plan on building up to 1800 lumens & give that Tawny Frogmouth I saw, something to purse it's lips about. |
