Ride Detail
Sun, Apr 15, 2012 - 12.37 mi [Cycling] Details
12.37 mi in 01:23:00 hours at 8.94 mi/h on KHS Team ST. [Cycling] SAMBR & the 1st official TDS C100 training ride. The XC bikes came out & we were the gun crew on a busy day in G-rock. Some gumby in a WAM kit insisted on cutting into our group at the start & was soon shown that TDS is not to be trifled with when we are serious. G-rock was in great form with super tacky trails & plenty of talent to spot. E.McN. was spotted a few times being trailed by a pack of blokes like she was a bitch on heat. Napalm, much to his detriment, discovered what we already knew; bald tyres roll fast but they have no grip. My new race tyres were both fast & grippy, allowing me to go round bends. Col got lost, Close to on time Ed & new dude John got smashed, Ellviner got better & the idea that the Ellsworth has to go. MP was usurped from the lead; his All Mtb not being able to keep up with the frenetic pace of the XC crew, & I was in the zone, if not on the pace due to some serious Mtb Ks being racked up over the weekend. A good fast ride & good beers at the pub with A1, Gus & Guru.

Sat, Apr 14, 2012 - 16.90 mi [Cycling] Details
16.90 mi in 01:16:00 hours at 13.34 mi/h on Titus Full Tilt Moto. [Cycling] 2nd run with the only stops being to inspect other riders damage. Had a box seat view of a rear derailleur self destructing & saw the aftermath of a good stack. A great run in good company.
Sat, Apr 14, 2012 - 16.59 mi [Cycling] Details
16.59 mi in 01:18:00 hours at 12.76 mi/h on Titus Full Tilt Moto. [Cycling] Clear sunny day but we were the only cyclists on the platform for our 1st lift up. We were about 5min late for the 1st train but thanks to City Rail, the train was 10min late. Found the trail head straight away, impressing my directionally challenged friend. A few early stops for comfort & bike tuning but I didn't have to ride slow for her & she didn't have to try (too) hard to keep up with me. Great ride on an epic track.
Thu, Apr 12, 2012 - 22.00 mi [Cycling] Details
22.00 mi in 01:14:00 hours at 17.84 mi/h on Opera Leonardo. [Cycling] Lap of Love with Ellviner just on dusk. Dark heading back but we had plenty of lumens to light the way. Frogs, owls & small marsupials replaced the lizards & snakes. If I had a gun I could have had Easter Bunny for dinner. Great conditions for an evening ride.

Tue, Apr 10, 2012 - 31.50 mi [Cycling] Details
31.50 mi in 01:45:00 hours at 18.00 mi/h on Opera Leonardo. [Cycling] False start when the early ride was called off due excessively high wind & low temperatures. Ventured out solo once the sun had warmed things up a bit. Bloody windy around the beaches, blowing my chain off the rings. Calmer conditions on the Love but still cool. Something tells me winter is on the way. Listened to the latest Ministry Of Sound's Trance Nation & the post-hardcore punk brilliance of Rise Against.
