45.74 mi in 03:09:13 hours at 14.50 mi/h on Cannondale Carbon Synapse Feminine 4 Rival. [Cycling] Wanted to get some miles in, but didn't want to get too far from home. (No, I don't know why either. Maybe in case I changed my mind?) Riding loops fulfilled both goals. Gorgeous day, perfect weather. Stopped at the same little church to rest in the shade, and I found a water spigot around back to refill my water bottle. Is that considered stealing? From a CHURCH?

25.45 mi in 01:44:28 hours at 14.62 mi/h on Cannondale Carbon Synapse Feminine 4 Rival. [Cycling] Added an additional loop to one of my standard routes home. The railroad crossing I usually use was closed...so I just rode around the barricades. Thank goodness it was already paved, or I would have had to CARRY my bike across.
16.77 mi in 01:13:46 hours at 13.64 mi/h on Cannondale Carbon Synapse Feminine 4 Rival. [Cycling] I should know by now that when the weather folks say "breezy," it should be interpreted as "don't take your bike to school." I can't think of a fiercer word than "fiercer." At least it was sunny.
12.37 mi in 00:52:41 hours at 14.09 mi/h on Cannondale Carbon Synapse Feminine 4 Rival. [Cycling] Didn't leave school until 4:30 due to a video conference (during which I read my book). Winds were FIERCE, clouds were threatening, and a spattering of raindrops fell right before I got home. I was very proud of myself because I didn't call the cavalry. Didn't want to push my luck TOO far, though, so I skipped the Chico's loop.
37.65 mi in 02:39:21 hours at 14.18 mi/h on Cannondale Carbon Synapse Feminine 4 Rival. [Cycling] BEAUTIFUL day for a birthday ride! Kay and I rode the 37-mile route and never saw Rozmo after we left. A little chilly at the beginning, but perfect conditions by the time we finished. I'd like to go over and do this route on our own sometime, maybe even the 62-mile route.
