70.00 mi on Cannondale (Al frame) CAAD 5. [Cycling] The annual Spring Into The Dales audax ride from Hebden Bridge which I rode round with fellow CycleChatters Alun, potsy and phil_hg_uk. I was forced to swap to my Cannondale before even leaving Hebden Bridge when the new chain I'd put on my Basso started slipping. It meant tackling lots of tough hills, more highly-geared than I like to be. I finished outside the time limit (again!) but at least I made the effort to do the ride.Must try harder! |

103.00 mi on Cannondale (Al frame) CAAD 5. [Cycling] Metric century a month challenge 2012, #4 - another CycleChat forum ride. This was actually an imperial century ride. We enjoyed last year's flattish seaside century so much, we did it again this year and you know what ... yes, we got the sunshine again! A great day out. Accompanied by: potsy, Alun, Ajay, Littgull, I like Skol, SlowerThanASluggishSloth, tubbycyclist, totallyfixed + Helen (since joined CC as dr_pink), Wormo, Steve H and oldfatfool. |

64.00 mi on Basso (Steel frame). [Cycling] Metric century a month challenge 2012, #3 - another CycleChat forum ride to Waddington. For a change, this time we rode out via the Long Causeway and Burnley, before getting back onto familiar roads at Fence. I was joined by Alun, Steve H and potsy. I felt slightly fitter than on the other 2 rides. But still a long way to go before I am fit again. |

30.00 mi on Basso (Steel frame). [Cycling] A CycleChat forum ride with potsy, tubbycyclist (just for the first bit - he'd already done 2 hours when we met him!), Pennine-Paul and bromptonfb. Weather conditions were bad so we cut it short and called in at a cafe in Todmorden to thaw out Paul who was shivering violently. After that, potsy and I rode to Littleborough with the others where we left them, turned round and went to the Hare & Hounds in Old Town for a pub lunch via Lumbutts, Mankinholes and Hebden Bridge. |

19.00 mi on Basso (Steel frame). [Cycling] Just my local Cragg Vale loop. I had intended to ride further but there was a cold 15 mph westerly wind blowing and I was delayed by a puncture. Nice to be out, *some* strength in my legs, but still way too fat and unfit! |
