I am sure Tommie will tell you to back off...an old saying is most people don't go hard enough on their hard days or easy enough on their easy days...it sounds to me like your hard days are plenty hard...just remember recovery rides should be really easy

Meant to add its always better to be undertrained than overtrained...the trick is finding that fine line!!!

Thanks Paul. Iv'e always fount it easier to go hard than to go easy. i'll catch my self on recovery days running around 80%, then back off for a while, then back up. My new computer has a heart rate alarm so it has helped. We are going to be busy for the next few days at work so no time to ride. Maybe a few days off will help.

I am still wondering why your efforts are this intense this early--and yes--BACK OFF. You are on the road to being burned out way too soon. Easy days are just that--super easy on the bike or take a day off the bike. If you over train like Paul mentioned--you will not be any good come race time. You need to get on a schedule and stay on it--with or with out bad days at work.

Us Darksiders have a Race on the 18th of Dec. (11 days). That's why the intense efforts.

That gives you 10 days--I would really rest a few before--and taper--then go into the race totally rested--you do great !!
