Wed, Dec 28, 2011 - 37.56 mi [Cycling] Details
37.56 mi in 02:26:25 hours at 15.39 mi/h on ICE Vortex FS. [Cycling] Bells - Forest Rd - Moriac - Horseshoe Bend Rd - No texts from the Fordies so decided to do a ride on my own - been planning on doing Forest Rd for a long time so finally did it..... Losse rear mudguard due to the smooth Victorian raods so had to stop to tighten, no thread lock had been applied so need to go thru all that stuff...... nice steady ride, stopped at Moriac General Store for a Banana Paddle Pop and met some other riders who had come from Geelong via Ceres and were heading to Torquay to burn of the Christmas dinners !!
Sat, Dec 24, 2011 - 36.97 mi [Cycling] Details
36.97 mi in 02:19:19 hours at 15.92 mi/h on ICE Vortex FS. [Cycling] 1st proper run on the Vortex FS, seat is amazingly comfortable so a slither of carbon fibre.... All my bikes need to know the way to Barwon Heads, so it was a good introduction...... The Vortex rides smoothly and the suspension irons out the lumps and bumps well, nice and comfy..... Shifts into lower gears needs tuning to improve of you get a bit of banjo-ing/skipping..... Popped over 50 kph on the way into Barwon Heads !! Tomorrow I'll do the run into SOuthside and Bells to see if I can crack the 70 kph target !!
Wed, Dec 21, 2011 - 2.17 mi [Cycling] Details
2.17 mi in 00:11:12 hours at 11.62 mi/h on ICE Vortex FS. [Cycling] 1st ride on ICE Vortex FS - boom set, chain way to long, nice one Flying Furniture !! With out 'love handles' on the seat and pad glued you want to fall out on every corner !!
Fri, Dec 16, 2011 - 31.34 mi [Cycling] Details
31.34 mi in 02:11:24 hours at 14.31 mi/h on Catbike Musashi. [Cycling] 2nd shakedown ride - met with Slim at Belmont Crit track to cut some laps - Slim met Tony & Dave and so we did the Moriac loop out of Highton, 3 Sisters (big hills) out of Geelong but was going ok, not great shifting between middle and top ring, more tweaking needed.... the thumbshifters are a lot better than the bar end shifters..... Looking good, faster than the uprights on all the descents, did well on the ascents, usually second going up but a long way from being last !!
