37.83 mi en 02:16:00 horas a 16.69 mi/h por ICE Vortex FS. [Ciclismo] Vortex#27-Barwon Heads loop. Southerly today so pushed me up Horseshoe but would have to ride against it on the way home.....bit overcast when I left but cleared and was sunny at the end. Passed a recumbenteer on a Greenspeed with Windwrap fairing and lots of lights, he was going at a slow bur steady rate so said "hello" and a little banter then onwards to 13th Beach - started chatting to a chap about everything.,..surf, kayaking, cycling, he used to live in Holland until 18 months ago to live in Ocean Grove where he grew up. Feeling a little weary leaving 13th Beach and the road seems uphill which ever way you go, thinks it's the coarse chip bitumen, then hit headwinds as I turned south, ouchy.... Torquay busy as usual on a sunny day, people not looking what they are doing or paying attention, tsk tsk tsk.... Then right at the end of my ride in Jan Juc a girl is more worried about her text message than crossing the road safely ?? A contender for this year's Darwin Award ?

Bit of a quick dash to meet up with Rossi at Annie's in B Heads......SE'ly at around 15 kph today so headwind on the way out and tailwind on the way back...... 2 coffees at Annie's so the heart was pounding on the way back !! Rossi told me about his Trisled try out in an old Aquila HPV machine at Casey Fields.....

38.41 mi en 02:17:00 horas a 16.82 mi/h por ICE Vortex FS. [Ciclismo] Vortex#71-Second ride on Trykers-B Heads loop

Solo ride to B Heads, added an extra bit of HSB today..... Still getting used to the harsh ride and stiff sidewalls on the Trykers but they roll well and seem fast.... Legs feeling a bit better today after 2 days of rest, weather chilly with light SE winds, all good.... Had some rubbing of the back tyre on my seat bag, so the Trykers are a tall profile tyre compared to the Duranos so had to move the seat up one notch, will try it like that a bit, seems better for going up hills too !!

57.04 mi en 03:28:00 horas a 16.45 mi/h por Catbike Musashi. [Ciclismo] Musashi#21-Moriac Loop-boom lengthened, cadence working

Sunny day so thought I'd make the most of it.....Some wind (upto 20kph) and quite changeable....along the coast seemed S SE'ly inland it seemed more NW'ly ?? The Mosse boom was lengthened a bit but could do with some more....the Windsock spar popped out twice due to the rough roads...needs better tape on the joints.....had some good cruisy bits but seemed to be heading into the wind a lot !! Legs felt heavy and tight...HR monitor battery dead but was going easy...... Can't wait to get the Ultremo 28mm wide rear tyre to smooth the ride as it is quite bouncy over the bumps and lumps especially at speed !!

31.49 mi en 01:58:00 horas a 16.01 mi/h por ICE Vortex FS. [Ciclismo] Vortex#70-B Heads with Rossi & Zollie-clear day,sunny & cold-warm at the end

New boots fitted to the Vortex - Schwalbe Tryker tyres - the old Duranos did 5000km and were cut and and slashed and worn thru to the canvas.... A clear night so it was a bit chilly this morning.....leggings and windproof jacket essential. Met Rossi & Zollie at 8.10am at the usual rendez vous point. Quick intro's and we rode, it was chilly.... Nice gentle ride upto B Heads and Annies for coffee and Banana cake. The Trykers are a harsher, but seem to roll better than the Duranos, also sharper changes of direction.....good job the Vortex has suspension otherwise the ride could be bad !! Seem faster for similar efforts but could be misleading as there was not much wind today (finally after 2 weeks of solid 30 kph wind !!). Rode back to Juc into the wind and again the Trykers felt fast, seem to roll very well and bit of tyre hum/roar when powering on.....maybe those stiffer sidewalls help ? Lower pressure compared to the Duranos (85 vs 100 psi) More coffee at Swell, day warming up nicely, time to go fly my copter !!
