Today was my first hard day of the season. I did 5x5 power intervals. Unfortunately, I did not hit my 5 minute peak today, but I have to consider the fact that I haven't done a "hard" effort since late November. My endurance is better, but my strength and ability to hold a power interval for long is not as great. It will get better with time. |

Today was junk miles. It was supposed to be 3 hours on the trainer of just endurance miles, but I only did 1.5 hours because my knees were hurting and I didn't feel very good. I figured I'd do the rest of the ride tomorrow after tomorrow's workout. |

Did 4x15 muscular endurance with 15 second standing power overs every 3 minutes. Had 8 minutes of recovery between efforts. Finished with one six minute over under effort (2 minutes at 290 watts, 2 minutes at 230 watts, and 2 minutes at 290 watts). Felt fresh, but since this is my first time back on the bike after being in Vegas for seven days, I was tired during every effort...more than usual. But I felt good and no soreness or fatigue at the beginning of the ride. |
