Sat, Mar 10, 2012 - 64.00 mi [Cycling] |
|
64.00 mi in 03:28:00 hours at 18.46 mi/h on Principia Rex. [Cycling] Great weather for another SMRR with MG, RG, Evimov and Eurobunter on the very flash CX3 Colnago which was very bright. Usual route where we caught the Hadley bunch, Evimov attacked up the Cemetry climb and RG and MG chased him down, regrouped at Sandgate, out to Hexham then back to Industrial Dr, Euro did a big lead out at Pheonix but RG pipped him well before the line, I tried a very long range attack at Honeysuckle and RG is still worried about the 52 year old and chased me down, I then did another big lead out 1km from the sprint and MG won by a bike length, he obviously had a big go because he lost his breakfast at 2300, easy cruise back to the Love Track with everyone except Evimov who went looking for hills, the track was very wet after the weeks rain, Eurobunter turned at Whitebridge and the brothers Galli truned at Belmont, I continued out to Swansea Heads, Caves Beach then home, by the time I got to RTW I was in the bin, still managed a tick under 30kph for 100 plus k's. Great ride with a good TDS crew. Sunglasses are to be worn at all times when the Eurobunter has his new bike. |
