[Cycling] Text went out for an Anzac Day RR in the wind, met RG, MG & CE on RG's old Trek at Hunter Stadium, decided the Love Track was the way to go and so did 3,000 others, very busy with lots and lots of kids, prams, dogs etc so a cautious ride ensued down to Swansea and return, had a go up Scum Rises then R2W but i had to nearly stop 4 or 5 times. Still good to get a ride in on this special day. |

15.66 mi in 01:38:00 hours at 9.59 mi/h on Scott Scale 20. [Cycling] Met the TDS boys, MG,RG,Eurobunter, CE and NJ for a road / MTB ride. We left before Burwood Rd and straight away I was in trouble as I had put 70psi in the tyres and nearly went arse over head in the first 100m, let the tyres down and then rode through lots of muddy tracks back to the Gun Club Rd, followed the ridge out to Baileys Paddock which was a bog hole, I now had lost the boys so I just rode to the shit works and then continued through the mud, good ride up Snakes until CE stopped in front of me and I nearly ran him over, back up to the Gun Club Rd, then down to the viaduct and the secret trail where we met SL who joined us for a brief ride as CE and I had trouble riding the very rutted and boggy tracks, up Surfers Walk where NJ & SL had left just before us so a team decision was made to ride to the NH and drink beer, good decision. Met MG, RG from their road ride then A1, DS, EN then finally the 2 musketeers NJ & SL joined us. Very muddy and not a lot of real riding, more self preservation. Clean now. |

Continued after to Stockton Br, Williamtown, Heatherbrae, Hexham, Sandgate, Jesmond then home. The fog took a long time to clear. |
