[Cycling] Cool start back to my ancestral highlands, easy spin to Lorn grabbed a quick coffee with a massive Maitland grupetto that had swamped the cafe, brother of Bunter absent. A cracking morning emerged so I headed off to Woodville, Seaham and then into the Terrace via Newline Road, quick stop at Heatherbrae and home. Awesome morning on the Flouro Euro, nice to do some country riding for a change and push through the tonne - I haven't racked up 100 for ages. The Maitland boys are just back from Bright VIC where they have been smashing themselves up Alpine ascents all week, including a replica 247km 3 peaks challenge – crazy!!!! |

[Cycling] Joined the Maitland peloton this morning for a 6.45am start from Largs pub, good bunch of around 16 followed the Hunter River through Morpeth-Berry Park, Nelsons Plains, Raymond Terrace then followed the Williams River to Seaham, Butterwick Road, Woodville and back to Lorn for coffee. Great ride and a stunning morning. |

[Cycling] Joined the Maitland peloton this morning for a 6.45am start from Largs pub, good bunch of around 10 basically followed the Hunter River through Morpeth-Berry Park, Nelsons Plains, Raymond Terrace then followed the Williams River to Seaham, Woodville and back to Lorn for coffee. Great ride although a tough headwind home made it a little testing. Let my assure you all the river country absolutely stinks following the floods, Tour de Smell. |

In truth I rode poorly and have been off my game for a couple of weeks despite logging plenty of KM's in recent weeks. Time for a 2 week break, self imposed cycling exile for me. |
