Sat, Nov 10, 2012 - 14.29 mi [Cycling] |
14.29 mi on Colnago CLX 3.0. [Cycling] Under threatening skies I caught the Maitland bunch that had set a spinnaker with a gusty tail wind. I was on world record pace until I flatted near Maccas at Hexham, after which I become detached from the main fleet. Misty rain set in as I repaired the puncture and without another spare tube, I cruised into the Roller Door for a coffee and then home. Just one of those mornings where a sleep-in is the best option. |

Sat, Nov 3, 2012 - 27.34 mi [Cycling] |
27.34 mi on Colnago CLX 3.0. [Cycling] Early start to Hexham to meet the Maitland bunch, unfortunately the warmer weather is attracting all the bad boys and I was left scrambling to stay on. The piston went through the engine block at Phoenix as I watched the bunch set sail for Nobbys – without me. That said, there were a few dropped long before me, good high intensity training all the same |

Sat, Sep 22, 2012 - 26.10 mi [Cycling] |
26.10 mi on Colnago CLX 3.0. [Cycling] Caught the Maitland Express at Hexham early this morning, very brisk pace to Nobbys. Going away to Sawtell for a week, taking the Giant and will get a couple of rides in. |

Sun, Aug 26, 2012 - 42.25 mi [Cycling] |
42.25 mi on Colnago CLX 3.0. [Cycling] More inland action beckoned with a Maitland peloton of 7 meeting at Largs pub for a 7am start. The bunch set off at a steady pace for Morpeth, Hinton, Wallalong, then up towards the rolling hills of Martins Creek, back through Butterwick, Woodville & Bolwarra, detour to Rosebrook, over the Hunter River at Melville Ford, then into Lorn via Oakhampton Road for coffee. Very challenging ride of 68 km, pushed all the way with a stiff SW head wind, good company & good coffee. |

Sat, Aug 25, 2012 - 24.85 mi [Cycling] |
24.85 mi on Colnago CLX 3.0. [Cycling] Only a couple of more weeks to go then our Saturday morning sport commitments will be over - until summer sport begins. I met the Maitland peloton at Nobbys, a quick dash around King Ed Park, then up to Hexham where I departed for home. Great pre-spring morning for a ride. |
