Ride Detail
Sat, Aug 12, 2017 - 64.10 mi [Cycling] Details
64.10 mi in 03:53:00 hours at 16.51 mi/h on Keith Lippy Tandem. [Cycling] Beautiful day to lead the GMBC Tour de Tunbridge ride. Started out overcast and looking like it might rain at any moment, but later it cleared up to become your basic, beautiful August day. Seven riders showed up and we passed many, many more around Royalton, riding the other way on a Harpoon Brewery ride, Everyone agreed that this is an exceptionally nice loop, with fine terrain and views and low traffic.

Sun, Aug 6, 2017 - 50.00 mi [Cycling] Details
50.00 mi in 03:27:00 hours at 14.49 mi/h on Rodriguez Toucan. [Cycling] Day three of the ETR. This one stayed in New Hampshire and was the hilliest of the three, even with less overall climbing than yesterday. Rode with Craig & Kathy the entire way, which meant that we worked a lot harder, especially with a stiff headwind much of the way back. Very nice, rural ride that followed part of the route I traveled coming back from Manchester a few years ago, including the impressive Enfield Shaker settlement, where we took our only break.

Sat, Aug 5, 2017 - 75.80 mi [Cycling] Details
75.80 mi in 05:04:00 hours at 14.96 mi/h on Rodriguez Toucan. [Cycling] Day two of the ETR. We expected it to be a washout, so we started early, just after 7 am. Avoided getting wet for over half the ride, and even then only rode through about six miles of real rain. It was warm enough that it wasn't a problem, even with stopping for lunch at the popular King Arthur Flour facility. Had a chance to ride with another couple for the last 10 miles or so on quiet roads. Only a couple other teams rode as far as we did and several said they wished they had gone longer and risked the rain.

Fri, Aug 4, 2017 - 32.20 mi [Cycling] Details
32.20 mi in 02:11:34 hours at 14.68 mi/h on Rodriguez Toucan. [Cycling] Eastern Tandem Rally, Day 1. Parked in Hartford and rode up VT-14 before climbing the long hill to Pomfret. Enjoyed the descent to Woodstock and then the winding and flatter route through Queechee and back to the start. A few new roads and some old favorites.
